THE WHAT AND THE WHY….
GK Legacy Foundation was created in honor of our father (“GK”), who we sadly lost to cancer in 2018.
George was the epitome of perseverance and determination, and it is our mission to honor him in a way that represents those attributes. "Keep your chin up, kid" was his favorite thing to say whenever we faced adversity, and now we are using his words to inspire others.
In 2019, we created the Keep Your Chin Up Scholarship, offering tuition assistance to adults 25 and older living in Arizona. Additionally, in 2020, we added our Healthcare Heroes Scholarship, specifically created for Arizona residents (25+), who are working towards a certification or degree in the healthcare field.
We know college can be challenging for anyone, especially for adults returning to school while juggling jobs, family, and/or financial stress. We also know there are very few scholarships available for this under-served population, and we want to help fill that gap and encourage them to persevere..

GK Legacy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) awarding scholarships to Arizona residents age 25 or older.
Keep Your Chin Up Scholarship awards range from $500-$5,000 based on individual need and merit.

Important Info
WHEN TO APPLY
The Foundation has two main scholarship cycles each year, February 1st and September 1st.
REQUIREMENTS
Arizona Residents aged 25 years or older with a High School Diploma or GED
PROGRAMS
For those pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree or Vocational Certification
SCHOLARSHIPS
There are 2 scholarships to choose from: Keep Your Chin Up & Healthcare Heroes.
